Dr Shang Yeap Heng Oon, Shang received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Sydney and was awarded the Faculty of Science International Merit Scholarship for his academic achievements. He was also awarded the Golden Key International Honor Society membership for his academic performance.
He completed his specialist training in Medical Oncology at Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre, Sydney. He then furthered his passion for cancer care through a fellowship in clinical research at the Sydney West Clinical Trials Centre. During that time, he developed multiple clinical trials for breast cancer, urogenital cancer, new cancer drugs, and pharmacogenomics.
He has since presented his research findings at many international conferences and published these findings in scientific journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
Dr Yep worked as a consultant in medical oncology at Johns Hopkins Singapore and Tan Tock Seng Hospital from 2011 to 2015. He was in charge of the Tan Tock Seng Oncology Clinic and was involved in research and was the principal investigator of several cancer clinical trials. patients
