About Dr Tan Yih Kai
- Dr. Tan Yeoh Kai is a general surgeon with a special interest in vascular surgery and advanced training in endovascular procedures. His special interests include advanced wound care, diabetic foot complications, diabetic limb salvage, venous disease, and vascular surgery.
- As the Director of Vascular Services at Changi General Hospital (CGH) from 2009 and 2015, Dr. Tan was instrumental in setting up and expanding vascular and endovascular services at the hospital. Dr. Tan was also a founding member and chairman of the Wound Management Committee at CGH where he restructured the wound care service by introducing evidence-based and hospital-sophisticated wound management techniques, which ultimately led to the creation of the CGH Wound Healing Center.
- Dr. Tan is accredited by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP). He is a key opinion leader in wound care and a member of the Advisory Board of Convatech Group, an international medical company specializing in wound and skin care products.
- Dr. Tan is engaged in active research in the field of wound healing and has published several book chapters. He has held numerous lectures and chaired workshops for both public audiences and fellow healthcare providers. He was also involved in writing an International Wound Care Consensus in 2019. He was a core faculty member of the Singhalth Residency Program for General Surgery.
